* WHAT...A moderate risk of sneaker waves is expected. * WHERE...All beaches and shorelines of Curry, Coos, and Douglas Counties. * WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through late Saturday night. * IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can run up significantly farther on beaches than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly pull them into the cold ocean waters, resulting in serious injury or death. Areas of dense freezing fog will impact travel across the Spokane- Coeur D Alene Area impacting Interstate 90 and US95 from Coeur D ALene toward Sandpoint. At 330 AM...cameras and surface observations were showing visibilities down to a 1/4 mile in spots. Additionally, the fog could be creating slick roadways with temperatures well below freezing. Motorists should be prepared for slower travel times, use low beams, and drive with caution.

At 416 PM PST, an area of heavy snow was located near Colfax, or 17 miles northwest of Pullman, moving southeast at 10 mph. Locations impacted include... Colfax, Albion, and Diamond. This includes U.S. Highway 195 in Washington between mile markers 28 and 43 and State Route 26 from Endicott East Road to Colfax. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.

Light amounts but bigger impacts to travel. * WHAT...Snow showers expected. Snow accumulations up to 2 inches. Flash freezing of roads will be a concern early Friday morning. * WHERE...Uniontown, Genesee, Plummer, Pullman, Colfax, Rosalia, Tekoa, Potlatch, Oakesdale, and Moscow. * WHEN...Until noon PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Winter driving conditions will impact the Friday morning commute especially for locations along US 195 and US 95. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures dropping below freezing tonight could result in slick roads and surfaces with light snow accumulations.
