Patchy fog and freezing fog, some of which could be locally dense, will develop and persist overnight as abundant moisture at the surface along with cooling temperatures and light winds persist. If you are traveling, use caution in case visibilities suddenly drop in dense fog or freezing fog. Also, where temperatures are below freezing, roadways may be slick due to freezing rain, refrozen melted snow
