A major atmospheric river is bringing periods of heavy rainfall and the potential for flooding in urban and rural areas through Friday. Small creeks and streams will see rapid rises and may escape their banks. There is a chance of main stem river flooding later in the week but for now forecasts remain just below flood stage.
