IGNITE Prescribed Fire Skills is a training for all who want to learn about the intentional use of fire for healthy landscapes and safer communities. Experienced instructors will teach hands-on skills including: weather monitoring, equipment use, ignition techniques, and burn planning.
Additional talks will cover fire science, cultural burning, and more. The first half-day on Friday 4/4 will provide a basic introduction for participants new to prescribed fire; more experienced practitioners are welcome to attend the whole event or Saturday/Sunday only. A detailed agenda will be provided after registration. Sharing between participants from diverse backgrounds will enrich this community-based event to blaze a path towards a better relationship with fire.
Register by 3/17.
