Fire Recovery Approaches

Please join us for this upcoming peer learning session, designed to share and discuss approaches to critical activities that often take place after a fire, including:

  • Dealing with the NEPA-related implications of “significant new information or circumstances,” post-fire, within a project area, and
  • Building post-fire resiliency through reforestation and re-vegetation.

Following the 2015 wildland fire season, Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program (CFLRP) coordinators and forest managers across the country are actively working on post-fire recovery. Now is the time to join the Forest Service, collaborators, and partners to consider different perspectives on post-fire activity, and discuss the best ways to improve resilience for the future. In this peer learning session, speakers will discuss considerations, strategies, tools, and resources that will be helpful to hose thinking about post-fire approaches. We hope you can attend!
