The mountains above 3000 feet will see 4 to 8 inches, with locally higher amounts in Idaho. * WHERE...Metaline, Athol, Northport, Springdale-Hunters Road, Eastport, Newport, Deer Park, Chewelah, Fruitland, Orin-Rice Road, Priest River, Colville, Schweitzer Mountain Road, Kettle Falls, Flowery Trail Road, Metaline Falls, Ione, Sandpoint, Clark Fork, Bonners Ferry, and Tiger. * WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 10 AM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. The conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will not reach the Canadian border till 11 am or after. There is a 20 to 30 percent chance of freezing rain across northern Spokane and Kootenai counties as well as southern Stevens and Bonner counties.
