The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. People can be swept off rocks and jetties and drown while observing high surf. Minor beach erosion may damage coastal properties and buildings. * WHAT...Dangerously large breaking waves of 25 to 30 feet. * WHERE...All beaches and coastlines of Douglas, Coos, and Curry counties. * WHEN...Until 4 PM PST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Extremely large breaking waves will create very hazardous conditions along beaches and area shorelines. Waves will inundate beaches, push large logs up the beach, and surge into normally dry areas. Infrastructure damage and significant beach erosion can be expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The largest breaking waves are expected along south facing shorelines, such as the beaches near Brookings, Port Orford, and Cape Blanco.
