* WHAT...A moderate risk of sneaker waves is expected. * WHERE...All beaches and shorelines of Curry, Coos, and Douglas Counties. * WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through late Saturday night. * IMPACTS...Sneaker waves can run up significantly farther on beaches than normal, including over rocks and jetties. These waves can suddenly knock people off of their feet and quickly pull them into the cold ocean waters, resulting in serious injury or death. Waves may also lift driftwood logs, trapping anyone caught underneath. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The incoming (rising) tide that coincides with the greatest sneaker wave risk occurs Saturday evening. * View the hazard area in detail at https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/map/?wfo=mfr

Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will be strongest near the mouth of Ladd and Pyles Canyons.

* WHAT...Southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph for the base of the northern Blue Mountains of Oregon. * WHERE...Foothills of the Northern Blue Mountains of Oregon. * WHEN...Until 4 PM PST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will be strongest along the base of the Blue Mountains with lighter winds elsewhere.
