2019 Spring Cascadia TREX

April 28, 2019 (All day) to May 10, 2019 (All day)

TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT. APPLY NOW! Applications due March 15.

The two-week Cascadia TREX program in Central Washington facilitates peer-to-peer experi-ential learning for fire professionals, natural resource managers, and others interested in advancing their understanding of prescribed fire and restoring fire-adapted landscapes.
Participants serve both as trainers and trainees, and in qualified firefighting positions on a burn team. We will train with equipment, practice fireline leadership, learn about local fire ecology, fire management, and landscape restoration projects through field exercises, work-shops, presentations, field trips, and yes, prescribed burning. TREX is a two-way training and learning program, in which everyone is simultaneously a participant, teacher, and student.

Spring 2019 Cascadia TREX will be based around Cle Elum, Washington, with burning done throughout the Central Cascades.
